Philosophy for Children

Philosophy inquires into the nature of thought, explores its limits, and delights in the pleasure of individual reflection and group discussion. It offers children a challenging yet supportive environment in which to explore and discuss their ideas about the nature of reality, truth, beauty, justice, love, identity, etc. It develops critical and creative reasoning, helps boost confidence and emotional intelligence, and encourages a genuine enthusiasm for intellectual inquiry and debate.

Our Year 6 children have been participating in Philosophy for Children over the past year and are now part of a teacher training video on the subject.
