Curriculum
Philosophy � We aim to be at the forefront of curriculum development.
Using the latest industry standard teaching equipment in our purpose built
Academy, students will learn in an exciting and stimulating manner.
The guiding
principles that underpin our curriculum are designed to:
� Develop the whole person to ensure that our students are prepared
for life and employment in a complex and increasingly competitive modern
world
� Provide opportunities for the students to constantly surprise us
with the scope and level of their achievements
� Contribute towards a coherent 4 � 19 curriculum to meet the needs
and aspirations of all of our students
� Provide an appropriate and challenging curriculum to meet the needs
and aspirations of all of our students
� Provide excellent opportunities for learning especially in Business
Education and ICT
� Collaborate with other providers to develop flexible, integrated
and innovative learning networks
� Develop high levels of skill and understanding across a broad range
of contexts
� Ensure the development of responsible citizenship and employability
� Provide support and guidance for students as individual learners
� Provide opportunities for self reflection and the setting of targets
to develop the key skill of improving their own learning and performance
� Place emphasis on the key skills of application of number, communication,

vocational pathways
� Fully develop a business related curriculum that includes relevant
and challenging work experience opportunities

through the development of organisation and study skills
