Sixth Formers meet Ken Livingstone

 Sixth Form students along with Mr Pemberton were invited to attend a Question and Answer session with Ken Livingstone the former Mayor of London and Labour’s candidate for Mayor of London in 2012. There were many topical discussions such as Education, The Economy, Employment, Housing, Police and Crime and other general issues.

Towards the end of the session Susan Agboola was able to speak to Mr Livingstone and ask him a wide range of questions. Furthermore to this as Susan is participating in the World Challenge Expedition to Southern Morocco in 2012 and so she asked Mr Livingstone if he would be able to support our students in raising the finance for the trip, his reply was “absolutely, this is an excellent opportunity for understanding and supporting another culture and country. I will invite you to attend a meeting with a lot of business representatives whom I know will gladly support you”. Susan will be writing her letter to Mr Livingstone’s aid and we will update everyone on how this meeting goes.
